Roles

There are several ways to get involved with VISION. Learn more about each of our roles and see if there is an opportunity that speaks to you.

President

The president embodies the “Vision” for the organization and leads strategic planning for all VISION initiatives. Together with the Managing Directors, the President oversees the projects and expands the outreach and sourcing efforts while collaborating with School’s Experiential Learning Center. The President also envisions the future growth of the organization.

Managing Director

Managing Directors are primarily responsible for supervising Project Managers and conducting quality assurance for all VISION projects. They also maintain communications with the clients and guide them throughout the project, right from reviewing their applications to ensuring that Project Managers deliver final recommendations. Additionally, Managing Directors assist the President as needed on any strategic initiatives.

Engagement Director

The Engagement Director leads VISION’s initiatives to increase engagement with potential clients who might get benefitted from the pro-bono consulting services. They will maintain the client portfolio and also work closely with Vision’s Advisor, and Marketing Director to work on strategies that provide more opportunities to both clients and students.

Marketing Director

The Marketing Director promotes the VISION brand. They are the owner of the VISION website and LinkedIn page, along with any other social media accounts that the firm may employ. The Marketing Director works closely with Engagement Director to ensure that any events planned or milestones reached by VISION are widely broadcasted successfully.

Project Managers select a project, interview and hire their team of 4-5 consultants, and manage their team throughout the semester to successfully meet project timelines and client expectations. VISION provides Project Managers with professional development training and networking opportunities throughout the project duration. Project Managers are assigned a Managing Director and Rochester Professional Consultants Network (RPCN) Mentor for additional guidance should any questions/concerns arise. Project Managers receive a formal certificate from Simon Business School after the successful completion of the project.
